Days 3 and 4 of Jillian Michaels Body Revolution: Man I dropped the ball. .

Sorry for missing Day 3 guys, I really want to try and post every single day of the Jillian Body Revolution, but I simply couldn't yesterday. In fact not only could I not post but a crazy schedule derailed the diet and workout plan the last two days.

Yesterday Day 3 of Metabolism Kick Starter Plan.

Ok, so a quick recap, on the plan Jillian gives you a meal plan for each day to follow, the first 7 days is a no carbo version of her plan. Its optional, and so is the double work out you can do each day, (this plan should only be used 7 days in 90) Anyway, yesterday was off to a bad start from the very early morning, I have been waking up an hour early to work out, however my brother's car needed service he and needed a ride to work yesterday. So I woke up even earlier then usual and got my work out in, Yay ME. My wife had made our meals for the next day, so I ran out the door eating my Breakfast ( 2 Eggs over easy, with turkey bacon, Tomato and Avacado,) That was really good. :)

Unfortunately I got caught in an office with a client from 9-5PM with no break, my scheduled Lunch and Snack , sat in the car and went bad. Lunch was tuna on salad with egg, and snack was Greek Yogurt and Pecans, I think. lol my wife said it was pretty good. So the good news is I stayed true to Jillian Michaels all the way, The office offered to by me lunch for helping them, I said thank you and declined, and instead watched them eat as I kept working. So I dropped the ball on the evenly spaced meals. I had scheduled to take clients out for dinner presentation at 6 so I jetted over there directly from the office. (Reminder I'm in sales) So at dinner I stayed strong and ordered filet with spinach. I didn't get home till 10 30 and after a 16 hour run and some computer work to do, I didnt have the second work out in me. Sorry Jillian :(

So Day 4 -
Missed My workout totally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My brothers car ended up taking two days so I took him over to work again, didn't work out in morning, crazy day at work, then had to get paperwork and application together for home Refi, plus I wanted to cook dinner as my wife has gotten stuck doing it so far, and I have way too many dinner programs keeping me out.

Meals today:
Breakfast: 2 fried eggs, Turkey Bacon, and tomato. Pretty good.
Lunch: Veg soup and Boiled Chicken
Snack: Missed It- But it was celery and Almond Butter.
Dinner. Black Bean Salsa Turkey Burger on slices of Tomato and Avocado, and Roasted Veggies ( Brussel Sprouts and Baby Carrots) Meal was big and filling, pretty tasty too, I like Veggies.

So there you go, I was an utter failure the last two days. Tomorrow its up early again to work out before work. Hope the rest of you have been better followers of Jillian's Body Revolution Plan then me this week. Keep up the good work.

Phase I - Day 1 of Jillian Michaels Body Revolution Program (7 Day Metabolism Kick Starter)

Today was the first day of the program. For the first week there is an optional 7 day metabolism kick starter plan, that is meant to be used only once in a 90 day cycle. My Wife and I have decided to participate in this 7 day kick starter program.
Exercise and Dieting: Get a customized work out based on your body, metabolism and goals!

In the 7 day phase you eat a no-carb meal plan that consists of 3 meals a day spaced out evenly throughout the day and snack between Lunch and Dinner. The total daily calories per day, during the 7 day kick starter plan, seems to come in right around 1050 calories a day. The booklet gives you 7 days of meal plans, which seems like you can interchange some of the pieces, however we are trying to keep it as close to the program as possible.

Today's Diet Meal Plan:

Breakfast: 1 cup of Greek low fat yogurt, with cinnamon and almonds.
Lunch: Grilled Salmon, on a mixed green Salad.
Snack: Celery with Almond Butter
Dinner: 4 Oz Steak , with Tomato Salad, and Baby Spinach.

Today's meal plan was nice and simple to prepare, however we did make our meals the night before, as we both have crazy schedules, and my wife leaves for work at 6am, and I'm not far behind her, but get home later. The food was actually tasty, but if you have been as bad as we us, its a shock to they system. My wife definitely got hungry in the afternoon, to the point where I was gonna tell her to eat something. She doesn't usually do well with no-carb, and at one point today she was feeling like tired and had a headache. I did ok on the food , as last time I dieted I lost all my weight on extended no-carb diet plan. My schedule unfortunately didn't allow me to eat my snack between lunch and dinner so I ate it at night.

The Work Outs:

During the Kick Starter Plan, you are to follow the normal week 1 work out plan, however there is an optional second work out every day, in which you can do the Cardio workout. We decided to that, so today we woke up even earlier then normal, and did our main workout before work.(It lasted about 34 minutes including warm up and cool down) It was tough but not crazy, honestly if you are in shape at all, you will probably have no problem at all. I struggled a little bit with the Planks right after the pushups, (man my arms have gotten week), All in all it goes by pretty quick. I did my second work out after dinner, the Cardio DVD was not bad, my biggest issue was my legs are so out of shape that , on the taps and kick outs , I could really feel the burn. The Suicides will be most peoples least favorite, but I must say, I've done thousands of those in the past playing soccer so those weren't to bad for me. Although I'm sure my old coaches would throw up for me if they saw how slow I was towards the end. lol The week 1 cardio work out lasts only 25 minutes so not bad at all.

Ok guys that's all for me today, its late and I still have work to do, plus have to wake up soon to do it all over again. :) I was planning on adding a starting post with my weight and measurements, but I can't right now. I will make sure to do that so we can track progress together. Hope you guys found this little run down of Jillian Michaels Body Revolution helpful! .

My 90 Day Body Revolution Weight Loss Challenge Introduction

I'd like to welcome everyone to the site. I'd like to give everyone a little introduction on what you can expect to find on MyJillianMichaelBodyRevolutionResults.wordpress.com. One week ago, my wife and I decided to make an impulse purchase and buy Jillian Michaels Body Revolution Weight loss program. We are not typically the shop on tv type of people, however last Sunday that is exactly what we decided to do.

Amber lost nearly 90 pounds with Jillian's program!

We are both 31 years old, and were recently married in July. We have been together for 4 years and while meeting each other was truly fortunate, it was also havoc on both of our waist lines. We have both struggled with weight out entire lives, however we both managed to work our asses off in the past, literally , and got ourselves into top shape. I have been in peak shape twice, the first while in college as I played soccer, and the second was 2 years after college, when I stopped playing, started drinking and eating like crap and put on so much weight it was time for a change. I followed that up with 2 years of low-carb eating and an addiction to the gym. She became a work-out warrior after college and at best weight she stood at 5' 7 and weighed 122lbs.

So yes we have tasted the promise land and let me tell you first hand, being in shape is truly everything you think it is and more! We both enjoyed more attention then ever before, life is truly easier and more fun for people in shape. With that being said 4 years of dating, and packing on "love weight" as we so cutely called it, now has us so far from our glory days its crazy. Instead of being two early 30 newly weds, we feel and act like 50 year old couch potatoes, as I'm afraid we allowed ourselves to eat out far too often, like 5 times a week often, haven't seen the inside of a gym in years, and were too worried hanging with friends, mostly around food, to keep any semblance of being in shape. Long story short, we decided to take the plunge with Jillian Michaels new 90 day body revolution program.

Meet Your Online Coach: TV's toughest fitness guru's NEW workout to drop that weight!

This blog will be my running journal of my progress through the program. I'm hoping I can not only use this work out/ weight loss journal as way to stay personally accountable to myself and my readers, as well as maybe help others get some motivation as well.

Monday March 5th we start Day 1 of our 90 day body revolution, which encompasses 15 Workout DVDs and a meal plan. The first 7 days of contains an optional 7 day kick Starter meal plan that we will be participating in, it also has an optional "extra credit" Cardio workout each day. It is my goal to try and follow this plan as closely as possible. One of the biggest challenges for me,is that my job calls for a lot of client dinners, sometimes 3-4 a week, as well as lunches, I will be bringing my lunch and will make a real effort to order diet friendly foods while at dinners. Wish us luck, and we hope to have some of you join us on Jillian Michaels body revolution challenge.
